Ohio Landscape (June 11th 2020)

I’ve never been afraid
of horses.
It’s the riders,
their skin
& limb, that move
in such awful concert
across the county
& always brings them
to a new map.
I think
if a horse arrived
alone, I would love it.

Ohio Landscape (June 12th 2020)

We were
given pinholes
to understand
the undulations
of the wolf’s jaw
from within
the wolf’s jaw
& despite that landscape
we named the jaw
something lovely
& we never questioned
the two motions.
