Sweat dripping down my forehead
Drenching my t-shirt
As the blazing sun
Shines in the bright blue sky.
The yelling from my teammates
Loud in my ear
Shouting my name
Like roaring fans
I love the way my shoes
Hit the ground
And the way the ball sounds
When it bounces.
And when I dunk
I feel like I’m flying
Like I am above everybody else.
Nothing can top the way
I feel when I play basketball.
